Local projects and optional online copies
The App stores projects in IndexedDB and display preferences in localStorage by default. Only explicitly creating or saving an online project uploads its JSON, including its name, tasks, links, calendar, notes, deadlines, baseline and project information/logo, to server storage associated with your account. Project API access is restricted to its account owner. Projects and imported files are not uploaded automatically.
Optional member accounts can also save company name, prepared-by name and a logo for reuse. These details are copied into a project only when you choose them in Project information; profile changes do not update existing projects. Member accounts store your email, name, preferred language, password hash, verification/reset token digests, sessions, approval decisions and trial dates on the server. The server also records the latest successful sign-in, member requests and their replies, email sending status and safe error codes, and administrator-only notes and tags for account support. It does not track actions in the Gantt editor. Email is used for verification and password recovery. The public contact form stores the sender’s name, email, message and internal support notes privately on the server, even without an account. No payment details are collected. The website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and page views; this service may use analytics cookies and process browser and device information. GanttFree’s measurement code does not send project names, task contents, email addresses, authentication tokens or query parameters. There are no advertisements. The hosting service may process access logs when delivering website files.
